Mothers name different on passport

I have my step-mother name on passport. My mother has died early and in India it is customary to accept step-mother as a mother for all practical purposes.
I want to file I 485 and was wondering if this can lead to query. My birth certificate has my biological mother name.
Is there someone who is having or had similar situation. What did you do?
