Hi folks
So I'm a foreign national that entered the US on an L1 and ended up getting married. We are getting ready to jointly file the I-130 and I-485, but I'm unsure on one thing. My wife is unemployed with no assets, and myself am semi-retired with about $200k in my foreign account. Would my liquid assets be enough support and a 12 month bank statements be enough evidence?
I could ask her brother to be a joint sponsor (he earns a decent salary), but would prefer not to as it's a bit awkward. OTOH I don't want to risk any comebacks and need the process to be smooth.
Does anyone have any advice or been through a similar process?
thanks for any help
