My friend is married to a USC for 5 years she is not and they have a 3 year son together..The son is a USC already...my friend had or had immigration problems in the country they lived before they moved back to USA...she is currently on a tourist visa..want to adjust status...She is afraid that the history she had with previous country could affect this application...I really dont think USCIS will be checking her previous immigration history with that country..or will they?...she wasnt deported or broke the law..something with immigration lawyer she used...What is the worst case scenario...So my question is does USCIS check previous immigration history with another country to make decision on AOS?...She is at her wits end...please help with your thoughts

No, unless her past immigration violations in another country amounted to a crime, they should not be of any relevance to her case. In short: she should have nothing to worry about.
