hi...am new here and I need help pls...I came here as a minor and had a arguement with a friend and it resulted in a fight the police was called and was summoned to court .. was given anger management ,2 years probation and 100 hours of community service ..completed both the anger management and community service but was taken off probation before the 2year period...my case dismissed and terminated by the judge and I have all the documents the order and disposition of the case..so when filling the I-485 I answered yes to the question that says if youved been arrested..and I did explained what happened and attached the case documents..my question is will I be denied because I was charged with assault and battery as a minor..and also on my marriage of abstract I put my dad new last name on and on the G-325 I put his name as stated on my birth certificate ..wanted to know if that will be a problem because he changed his name recently and he don't reside in the US..thanks

You should prepare a narrative explanation for your use of two different names for the same dad, in case the subject comes up during review of your documents or during your interview. Out of curiosity, may I ask why your dad changed his last name?
The issue of your arrest for the fight will be examined on a discretionary basis at your Adjustment of Status interview, if not before. You may be requested to provide more documentation (police, court, disposition and outcome). I don't think anyone can predict the effect of that arrest on your Adjustment of Status, since there are a variety of factors that will be taken into consideration by a reviewer: your age at time of incident; the charge; whether convicted of a misdemeanor or felony.

Okai thanks alot rayb but my dad recently changed his name because he was raise by foster parents and was given their last name but he later reunited with my grandfather and I guess he decided to change his last name to his dad's because of some personal issue abt him not treated good by his foster parents..but then again I made a mistake when filling my abstract of marriage by not stating whats on my birth cert..and he lives in a whole different country...was wondering can I go back to the court and ask them to correct it for me just incase...

It's not that big a deal, certainly not justifying trying to get your marraige record changed. Your dad isn't applying for a visa, you are.
