Please advice.

My Priority date is 8/29/2007 and i " RECEIVED EAD CARD/AP IN OCTOBER, 2013". My lawyer says USCIS is reviewing petitions with a filing date of 11/15/2004 or earlier and ours might take years.

But if i call USCIS with my I-485 case number, they say the processing center is currently processing applications submitted before October 18th and we applied on October 11th. They say we should recieve the card soon.

Which is true?

My company says they will wait for 2 more months and have to termitate me if i haven't received my GC before that.

Why can't you work on your Ead?

I can.. but the company that i am currently working for says they can make me permanent only if i have GC and i cant continue as a contractor after 2 months.
