i would like to find out if it is possible to adjust status on a visitor visa in the USA,the procedure required,documents required and how long it take to receive both legal permanent residence and work permit if finally approved and thus if filed concurrently. Thank you

Yes, it is possible to convert a visitor visa to Permanent Resident status, if there is a petitioner whose relationship is "immediate priority." The petitioner should be a U.C. citizen. The beneficiary must be either a spouse of the petitioner or a child of the petitioner and under age 21.
