Correction in Mother name in passport

I have corrected my mother's name in my passport. Consular officer has mentioned it under observation. I was wondering do I need to submit affidavit with I-485
regarding correction. Or since all evidence were submitted to Consulate prior to correction submitting just copy of passport with correction details should be fine.
