  • I485 'Decision' Status?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Decision

On July 11, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am seeing this as my status for the I-485 petition. What would this mean? Please advise.

Thanks! The wording over there is ambiguous.

Also, first got the 'card/document production' status email and immediately there after this status. So the confusion.

It seems the lawyer might have changed my address on USCIS records. Is there a way, to get to know the current address on the USCIS records?

        Kudia,

If you have paid an attorney to be involved in this process, why isn't he able to give you a qualified explanation for this USCIS correspondence you are receiving?

Why would the attorney have changed your address? Have you moved, or have you fired him?

You can call the USCIS HELP number in the U.S. and ask what address they have for you. Call: 1-800-767-1833

I called up USCIS, and they say they do NOT have access to address records.

Now to change the address online i need to know the old address, which has been updated by lawyer/employer.

            Please advise.

Why would you even think your lawyer changed your address?
There is NOTHING saying so. What they are saying, I believe, is if you have to move before receiving the cg, then call them!
Doesn't necessary mean they have received anything from your lawyer to change your address

                Hi Kudla

We got the same email on Aug 5th regarding ADIT processing. First we got the card processing email and within few hours (same day) we got ADIT processing email. I would appreciate if you can let me know what is going on with you? Did you get your card yet?

                Thank you!
