Medical Exam

Hi guys!

I am about to schedule a medical exam for the I-485. It is really expensive and I need to make sure I really have to do it. My husband and I got married and we are about to send in the I-485 attached with a copy of the I-130 receipt. The instructions in the I-485 state that some applicants need to get it done. Would I fall into this category? Do I need to get a medical exam?

All family-based conversion applicants need the immigrant medical exam. You can expect to pay between $150 and $400, depending on prevailing fees in your area and cost of the shots.
