period of unemployment

How long in between jobs is considered unemployed. We are completing n-400 and there is a week or two between jods. Do we need to lost this as time of unemployment. Thanks

Don't bother with that period. The data requested is of employers, not unemployment.

That is what i was thinking but my wife disagree she pionted out that they ask for unemployment as well. We where never unemployed just waiting to start a new job.

The amount of time not working that you cite is insignificant. The information being requested is for you to account for lengthy periods of unemployment, which are sometimes viewed by USCIS as "off the table" working, which allows them to ask you more specific questions.

Although your wife has a good point, that short period of your "looking for employment" is not really relevant.

Thank you for the help. Very stressful to complete this , we do not want to make mistakes and are now nitpicking and over thinking every question
