Hello
My wife and I submitted our I-485/131/765 end of July 2014. She went to get her biometrics done on August 27.
I work for Federal Government, defense to be exact. I work as civilian employee, so no armed force.
I recently got an offer from an Army base in overseas for 3 year tour.
Since we're in the midst of 485 process, I don't want to jeopardize her pending application status. I called USCIS to find out about our situation and the rep told me Department of Defense International Relation and/or Military Deployment can be eligible for expedited service and process. I want to know if anyone dealt with anything similar to this and whether I can be qualify for DoD IR and/or Military Deployment even though I'm a civilian.
Any advice out there? Do I just have to bite the bullet and let this slip and shoot for another chance when my wife is permanent resident holder?
