  • Traveling after AOS interview and before receiving green card

I had applied for Advance Parole. I didn't get it yet but just got the interview notice (so I guess I will not be getting my AP?).
How long after the interview will I get the green card? I have tickets booked for a foreign travel few weeks after interview.
Do they stamp a temporary green card, if not, which other way can I travel?
    Thanks!!

The Green Card usually follows a successful Adjustment interview by 3 or 4 weeks. You can ask the interviewer to put an I-551 stamp in your passport, but he will probably decline, since that practice is not easily available anymore.

      Thanks!
I must be wrong but I was thinking that once we get an interview call, they revoke the AP application. I guess I would still be receiving the travel document. Am I right?
Also, If I am not approved for Green card immediately AND I do not receive my AP by then, can I get an infopass and get some stamp or document for an urgent travel (severe financial loss if I don't travel)?

"Combo cards," with both Employment Authorization and Advance Parole on same card (if paperwork was submitted correctly) often show up after successful Adjustment interviews, or shortly before. These cards (Work Authorization and/or Advance Parole) are not supposed to be presented after a Green Card has been approved. They are "technically" expired with approval and/or issuance of a Green Card. An immigration officer or an ICE officer or a BP officer may not have a way of finding that they are expired, but if he is told the Green Card is approved, he will disallow use of the Advance Parole card.
