Application for Parents GC - can they stay even after the 1-94 expiration?

Hi: I am a US Citizen and concurrently filed for I-130 and I-485 for my parents who are currently in US visiting on B1/B2 visa. Their I-94 expiration is coming up in 3 weeks and we have not yet received a decision on the case.

Do I need to file for an extension or should they be leaving the country after their I-94 expires? Or as I have heard that nothing should be done as long as the case is pending - they should not travel outside US and no need to request an extension?

Please advise - appreciate a quick response so that I can act if something needs to be done.

If you have receipt confirmation for the I-130 and I-485 for your parent, there is no need for the allowable visa stay to be extended.

Thanks for the quick response. I have received the acknowledgement receipts for both I-130 and I-485 and the biometrics has already been done.

Will wait for the final decision which I think shall happen after my parents stay after the I-94 expiration based on the current timeframe on USCIS website.
