Just got our Request for Initial Evidence for our i-485, and the problem states our income did not meet the 125% of poverty guidelines.
Reviewed our calculations and everything should be good! I even double checked I was looking at the correct year (2014).
Here's the gist of it:
My income 11,334 (supporting tax documents included)
Vehicle 1 value 3000
Vehicle 2 value 30,000
(Title, kbb values included for both)
2014 HHS poverty guidelines 125% 19,662
Basically the difference was 8000 and it is just for my spouse so multiply by 3 should be the minimum cash value of assets which comes to 240000. The car alone should cover the 24000 as well as a significant difference.
The first car ($3000) was a new purchase, so the title front says the original owner still, but we included the back which states our name. Do you think that this could be why it was denied? That since the first car didn't count, our expensive car didn't count either?
Or do you think it could be possibly my income? I didn't include pay stubs because I don't have access to them( they got tossed in a recent move, not to mention I've been switching jobs a lot so not even the new pay stubs say the net earned for the year) ?
I appreciate any help or opinions!!!
Thanks!
