    Me and my husband got back yesterday from our first interview for a green card based on marriage

    The lady was really rude
    Asked us one question- where and when did we meet
    She didnt look at our pictures, taxes
    She only took our lease and bills
    Then she asked us if we have any enemies cause someone tipped them that our marriage is a fraud

    It doesnt make no sense
    We dated over a year b4 we got married, we love each other very much
    And we cant think about anyone that could have done this

    She said they need to investigate and that we'll get an answer in the mail

    What does it mean??
    Why didnt they just preformed a stoke interview
    How long do we have to wait ??

    Please help us we dont understand what happened

    The "Stokes interview" is a second interview when the first interview wasn't convincing. Frequently during the first interview, the partners are interviewed separately, but there was a different agenda at your interview, apparently.

    If the interviewer was being honest in telling you that someone had reported your marriage to be a fraud, you have to accept the possibility that someone did contact USCIS about your relationship, to cause you some trouble. Usually, someone doing this is a relative or a prior partner or spouse. USCIS has to investigate such complaints, so the interview probably didn't have any choice in the matter.

      Thanks for the quick resoponse

      So now what?
      How long is i going to take them to investigate?
      And whats the second step? Stokes interview? Or they might just approve us?
      Is there a possibility that she wasn't honest ??

        I can't read the interviewer's mind, but if she said they had a complaint from someone about your relationship, I'm sure they had something.

        Now you have to wait for one of the following:

        1. Notice of a second interview;
        2. Notice of denial;
        3. Approval notice;
        4. Request or additional evidence.

            Two weeks to 3 months, the latter if they have to schedule an investigator or team to visit you.
