  • Marriage (Same-Sex) Based Green Card for Persons Already in the U.S.

I would like to share my experience on getting my status adjusted from B1/B2 visa to Permanent Resident (Green Card) this year. The process started in May, and I got my Green Card in mid September. Though my application for adjustment status was through my same-sex marriage, there is actually no difference between straight & same-sex couple's cases.

I compiled my experience from beginning until end, in PDF but unfortunately the file is too big (130kb) for the attachment on here. The allowed file size is below 19.5kb. Please send me a message, I will share the file with you through some other way.

    ~B.

              Thanks for the information

I think my case is very similar to yours, we got married some days after I came to US. I was getting scared about the 30/60 rule that might apply to us, did you had comments on that matter with your lawyer?

Thanks in advance for your response
