Hello
I'm a spouse of US Citizen. My husband and I are moving to Overseas because of his civilian job with Department of Defense. He'll be permanently stationed in one of military base in Asia as civilian employee.
I just got my I-485 approved and awaiting for my Green Card. Only took 3 months because of expedited service with my husband's situation.
My question is that as a green card holder, how long can I live overseas?
I did some web research
It says, if my spouse is working abroad permanently due to US Government Job either as military/civilian, I can live with my spouse as green card holder without any time restriction. I just have to travel with him all the time.
Also, I think I can apply for Naturalization immediately (hooray!). Do I have to do this while in United States? We're very time-strapped (moving overseas in less than a month) and wondering if I can apply for that while in Asia. And how long this would take time?
Thank you!!
