  • joint sponsor is a military and has sponsored someone in the past

    Hello!

    1. First of all I would like to thank all of you on this forum for your help. You made me go through a lot of difficulties to gather my documents. I'm about to send my AOS package to USCIS. but one thing is missing: a I-864 form from a joint sponsor. The joint sponsor is already found. He is a military in duty. I told him we need to submit : a copy of his passport or one of his certicate of naturalization, an IRS transcript for at least the last year, a letter of employement, paystubs for the last 6 months, proof of current residency in US. But he told me that we don't need to submit all of theses and that He will give me only: a copy of his passport, the IRS trancript and a LES(kind of military paystub). He said that the LES is a document that shows residency, employment, salaries and no letter will be more important at all. Is what he said correct and sufficient? please help.

    2. He has sponsored his wife green card about 3 to 4 years ago. But the wife has never worked since. She only goes to school. Can He still give me the support? He got around 50,000 to 60,000 a year. Please, I'll be waiting for your advices!

    Be blessed!
