I got my EAD approved on the last week of october. on November 5 my EAD card was sent, My family's EAD has arrived earlier than mine so i am the last one. So i tracked my EAD and the delivery was on time and should be delivered on November 7. So thinking i will get it on friday, i applied to jobs. I got a job, and will start on November 10. Now what happen was, USPS, probably lost my EAD because on November 7. It was out for delivery, and i did not recieved it. Then, the status change to delivery status not updated. Can i still go to my new job? and explain to my employer the situation? And just tell them that USPS lost it and i should re apply for replacement. and can take 30 days? and just present them that it was approved but usps lost it?
I really wanna get employed. But now idk, what to do, worst case scenario i have to reapply for an EAD replacement. But i dont wanna miss the opportunity of this job... is there anything i can do? im messing up because of one mistake made by the USPS.
UPDATE: I took the heavy measures, and went to the two local post offices. The woman found my EAD taped on a wall. So if anyone has the "Out for delivery" status and then turned to no delivery status update. I suggest you go to the Local POst office the next day ASAP. Your letter might be taped up for picked up. I got my EAD ^_^
