  • question about employment

My spouse has been working in the USA since 2003 but has been out of status since then till now. I am sending our application green card application ( I -130/485/764/131)and was told he must quit working for him to adjust his status but would that be a problem?

If he is asked during the interviewer if he is working, and he says he is working, that could be a problem for him, or the emplyer, or both.

If he is not asked, it probably won't be a problem, but if his G-325A shows employment, he will probably be asked.

        That was a good move.

It's hard to say how an interviewer will handle the period of time that your husband has been undocumented, but anything you do to show compliance with the rules will help.
