You need to include the income source documents used for preparation of the tax returns, W2 or 1099-MISC or K1 forms.

        Twenty8,

Years ago, if joint tax returns were used to sponsor, USCIS wanted I-864 and I-864A forms from both partners. The last few years, however, I've submitted dozens of sponsorship packages with tax returns which were "jointly-filed," but when the one household member had sufficient documented income, and used only his signature on an I-864.

What is your question? Your fiance can marry you and he can petition you. Whether he can sponsor your or not depends on his income and proof of filing the most recent Federal income tax return.

Thank you for your reply. My question is there a big chance that i'll be deny knowing my US Citizen husband has low credit score. No property in his name, no car in his name. But he has work and filed his federal income tax return for past 4 years. I went here on a tourist visa, this is my first time visit here.

Credit scores, property ownership, and vehicle ownership are not sponsorship issues at all. So long as your guy has documented employment whose income annualizes to meet sponsorship requirements and a copy of most recent Federal income tax return, he usually satisfies the sponsorship requirements.

I came in the US last June, I am on a multiple visa and this is my first visit. my visa is expiring on Dec 2014, August i met my fiancé, he proposed to me October and we're planning to get married this coming november end of the week. We don't have joint account, we don't have some of the evidence to prove our relationship was real. do you think i need to file my adjustment of status after we get married, but that would make me illegal to stay here? Should i file it after our marriage which is before my visa entry would expire? Thank you so much for your reply. I know you really help a lot of people in this site.

If your guy is a U.S. citizen, and you marry, you can apply for Adjustment of Status by submitting the I-485 anad i-130 with supporting documents, along with an immigrant medical exam report in a sealed envelope, soon as you have the money to file.
