uscis online information not updating fp status

1. The status on the uscis website has not been updated for FP's received for myself and my spouse(main applicant), it still says 'received fp in oct 2002'! Did anyone have any such experience?

2. Anyone know if the 485 for dependents are processed separately or will it be processed as a single file

Does it say that they have received your FP and the process has been resumed (and wait until further notice)?
If so, it's going to stay that way until another significant event comes along. (i.e. RFE or an approval)
Mine stayed almost 15 months until I get the second FP notice.

Each 485 will be treated and processed individually. But if 2 people filed for it at the same and one is a dependent to another, the case #s will be close to each other and might be approved around the same time. And this is of course, the primary filer does not have any problem with his/her application along the way.

Lemme make it a bit more clear -----


I submitted my I-485 application in August 2002. My first fingerprinting was done in October 2002 and second fingerprinting done in April 2004.

The information on the USCIS website on my case is as follows: “On October 30, 2002, the fingerprints for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were collected and are pending review.”

I had filed for the I-485 with my husband and the information on his case states that “processing has resumed” in his case. Similar is the online message on all my friends cases

Wonder why processing has not resumed on my case and why the 2nd fingerprinting has not been recorded

as per my attorney, main applicant if updated then spouse may remain as it is until final decision(it doesnot matter, it happend before)
