Hey everyone! I would like to share my experience and hopefully help somebody in the process. Some of the posts here helped me even if I never got any answers to questions posted(no hard feelings).
I know this process can be long and tiring but you jus got to have patience because everything falls in place at the right time. My interview was Monday December 1st at the Ny field office in Manhattan(I never received my appointment notice so I had to submit a request through 2nd level customer service to have it faxed to me). We arrived at about 10:50 & our appointment was at 11:15..we checked in at the front and sat in the waiting area. Waited for about an hr and a half then was called in by a female officer who led us to her office. We were sworn in and the interview began. She asked my husband the majority of the questions from the I130 and asked me a few questions and the yes or no questions from the I485. At the end of the interview, she kept my I94 and gave me a copy and told us a decision would be made & sent in the mail within 60 days. We felt quite disappointed at this time because my passport wasn't stamped, she didn't take my EAD, & she kept all the pictures we mailed in with our paperwork and we weren't told the decision on the spot. I assumed that if you were approved the officer would stamp your passport and you got told you were approved. We got back home at about 3pm and thought we were denied because we didn't get any info on the spot which bothered us because we planned a trip to the caribbean in January. At about 5pm the same day we got an email saying that our case has been approved & the card was in production. We are beyond happy this journey is over & we can finally stop stressing over it. My advice to people is to RELAX! Seriously its not as bad as people make it seem. The officers are not "mean" they jus have blank looks on their faces to intimidate you. If your marriage is legit you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Also remember that everybody's timeline & experience is different so don't listen to these "horror stories" people have. Good Luck to everybody going thru this process! Remember to stay patient and relax, everything will be okay!
