  • Non-Cuban spouse and cuban adjustment act

    Hello everyone,

Firstly I want to tell a little about us:

My spouse has two citizenships Cuban and Russian (but she was born in Russia). I have only Russian.
We together already two years but still not married. Recently we started think about immigration to USA.

So the question: What is best way to do it?

We can get married and then go to the Mexican border but I don't know is it possible for me to cross border with my spouse?
Also I'm afraid that they could be confused by date of our marrige (a few months before crossing border). I didn't find any information about it in official documents that's why I believe it doesn't matter but anyway I want to clarify it.

Also after crossing border I want to get work permission as soon as possible. Waiting one year is really painful for me.

Another option wait until my spouse get green card (I will be in Russia or Cuba all this time) and then she can do request for family reunion or something.
Of course I don't want to live without my spouse one year and actually I don't understand how much time I should wait until getting work permission and green card.

And also we can try to get visa to USA and make requests for green card based on CAA already in USA. But I doubt that we can get visa for one year. Maybe there are other options
    I didn't investigate well yet.

Thanks in advice for anyone who could help.
