Still haven't received an answer on my I-485

Hi,

I've sent my I-485 on 7th of December 2014, but I still haven't received a reply on it. I attached every required document. The problem is I have to leave on December 30th, because that is the duration end of my WT visa. It was 90 days and now it's almost over. What should I do here? Stay in the country because I've sent the application, or leave?

Another question I have is that my Wife is divorced. And she is from Alabama, and I read that there is a waiting period there before getting married which is 90 days. But now we are in another state, Nebraska, which has a waiting period of 180 before she can get remarried, we married in another country. And we sent the I-485 forms while we are in Nebraska, but she isn't resident there yet. Is our marriage legal to the immigration people? (we did marry before the 180 days waiting period expired but after 90 days)

I mean what are the odds they will let me stay with my wife?

You can call the customercare and tell your details and they can pull up the receipt number instantly. You can also email them at and get the receipt number. Once you get the receipt number, you can track the status online.
