Help needed.... Complicated Situation.... Confused

My husband and I have been together for 1 1/2 now. We got married in Feb of this year. We hired an attorney in May who only summited the I-130 in August, we decided to change attorney and submitted the I-485 and other forms 2 weeks ago, so they told us we should be expecting a response by next week with the receipt number.
On Tuesday of this week my husband flipped out on me during an argument & he got physical, I got really scared and call the cops. I told then I didn't want to press charges just wanted them to talk to him but apparently NYC law is the person will automatically be arrested and go to court. He is now mad and his sister is saying he won't go to the interview with me when the time comes. I haven't said anything to my attorney as yet because I am hoping when things are calm down we can work things out. However, I want to know if this will affect me not getting my papers if he really decides not to come to the interview? I've never heard of only one person going to an interview.

If your husband does not go to your Adjustment of Status interview, you will be denied, but will be advised of self-petitioning options because of abusive marriage.

My advice is to fix this with your husband, or your quest for Green Card status can go on for years, with no guarantee of success.

I do not see any complications in this case. It is very clear, that if he is not coming with you for the interview then you are not going to get the papers. As he is the US citizen, his support is needed until you get the greencard

On the contrary, a negative outcome is not that clear. If she shows at the interview without her husband, and the husband refuses to come to even a second interview (which may be offered her in the first interview), she will be denied, but will be explained her options for self-petitioning because of an abusive marriage.

Whether she is successful in the self-petition process (I-360) depends on the evidence she presents and how well the needed narratives are drafted. With evidence of the husband's arrest, affidavits from witnesses, and any background info she can provide about the husband's history (which points to an unstable individual), she has a good chance.

U should have be patient and calmly sort things over with him instead of calling the cops. The arrest has now painted a bad image to him. U should have call his sister or mum instead. Any way, if he attend Church, speak to Pastor over it to invite both of u for counselling. Meanwhile also be praying for him to change his mind cos is a MUST to attend the interview with u.
