i485 based on approved petition. help!

I have recently changed my status based on my husband being a US citizen and has received a 2 year conditional green card. Two of my kids (his step children) have also received the same. My son who is 20 and on a student visa did not qualify for the petition because he was over 18 when we got married. Now that I have been approved, can I apply for his status to be changed based on derivative benefits?

You must petition your son with an I-130 and wait for his visa quota slot to be available, about 14 months.
