Hi,
I have been on a trainee physician H1-B visa (out of cap) since 2009, and will complete 6 years on that on June 30th, 2015 (though I can potentially extend it for 4 more months to capture the time spent out of US in these 6 years). My husband who is also on H1-B (researcher, out of cap) has filed a EB-1A petition. Assuming his petition is approved and we file I-485 for both of us, can I obtain EAD or my H1-B visa be extended after the 6 years while I-485 is pending? I don't have a green card petition in my name yet, and am worried that I-485 approval may take longer than June.
