Unable to show up for finger printing

Due to mis communication with my lawyers, I didn't schedule my finger printing date and ended up missing it. It has been about 25 days that I missed the deadline.

1. The ASC appt notice explicitly says that if someone doesn't show up, his application would be considered abandoned. Is there any grace period? I've seen in an web site that it would be abandoned only after 75 days.

2. Also, till what stage, can I add my spouse to green card?
