Hi Vins, Happy for you that you obtained the Birth Certificate.

I don't have anyone in Saudi Arabia. I have a hired a Lawyer in Saudi Arabia to obtain obtain. He seems pretty clueless as to what to do. He says it's difficult for me to get Birth Certificate coz my mom never registered with he MoCA. It means, when the MoCA checks in their system my details are not there.
But I have the Embassy Issued BC.

Can you please guide me as to How to Proceed... It will be really helpful ? I beleive since you stayed in Saudi for 3 years your mom might have registered your birth with the MoCA, even if you didn't collect you BC as is... Was that the case ? Any information from you would really help me.

As of now, I have already submitted my i485 with a cover letter showing all the good faith attempts and secondary evidences for birth. But still I am just preparing for a worst case scenario of an RFE.

        Hi,

I am in the same boat and wanted to know how and if you were able to obtain a birth certificate. My 1-485 won’t be approved without it.

I am Saudi born but was an Indian citizen while in Saudi 20 years ago and had an Indian of embassy birth registration issued to me - a document which cannot be used in place of a birth certificate as per my greencard lawyer.

I also don't have anyone in Saudi Arabia to help me and no success in getting response from Saudi civil affairs Riyadh.

What’s the next best way to proceed?

should I call the Indian embassy of Riyadh?

my lawyer here in US says I need to figure out the obtaining of the birth certificate documents on my own and can’t do much for me.

        please advise.

        thankyou

(Pakistani citizen born in Saudi Arabia)

I am a Pakistani citizen who was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1986.

We left the country after my birth, so we weren't able to get a birth certificate.
We travelled to Pakistan; I was simply added to my mother's Pakistani passport based on the
Saudi hospital's admittance slip (which has subsequently been lost)

I grew up in Pakistan, received all of my education there, and created my own passport,
mentioning my birthplace, Saudi Arabia. I also have my Pakistani ID Card.

I have already applied for an immigrant visa for a spouse of a U.S. citizen (IR1).
In lieu of my birth certificate, I have alternate documents:

          1) Non-Availability of Birth Certificate From Pakistan
          2) Mother's Affidavit From Pakistan
          3) Secondary School Certificate Karachi Pakistan
          4) Fathers' Death Certificate

Will these four documents be enough to be considered as "alternate/secondary" evidence?
          Thank you.
