Length of the name field in the front side of Green Card

Hi,

I have recently received the green card but the given name (My name + space + Father's name) field is missing last 2 characters of my father's name. Is there any restriction in the name field of the card in the front side? I've searched wiki and the details of the restrictions were more on the back of the card and not front. The total length of my given name including 1 space is 21 characters.

The same issue has happened when I've received the EAD with Advance parole card. At that time my attorney said it is not an issue and USCIS has length restrictions. The same error/length restriction now seems to be carry forwarded to the green card.

Has anybody faced or heard of such an issue? Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I have heard of people with the same problem, due to name being very long. U may need to call uscis. I have no doubt u be asked to return the card. I have no clue how they adjust the all the letters of your name, but regardless u must report it and have it redone. U will b asked to return the card. Hope all works out for you.

Thanks for your help. I called USCIS and they were helpful in registering the request to change the name on the card.

I hope the new card to arrive in 15-30 days. This time hopefully with entire name on it. Really appreciate your help

I received my card today and it has the same issue, my given name is missing a letter in the end.
Just wondering how did you fix it? did they changed the name? how long you had to wait to receive the new card?
