    I-485 and H1b application at the same time

    Hi,
    My I-140 (EB2-NIW) was approved today. I am doing a postdoc at a university in J1 visa status. my visa will be expired by the end of June, 2015. Our university is working on processing H1b. I am wondering if I can submit I-485 before getting my H1b or I should wait until I get H1b.
    Thanks for your help in advance.
