My biometrics appointment was on 12 March and no update yet because we had an RFE. Did you receive an update yet?

My concurrent package was received by USCIS on February 20.
Had my biometrics done on March 17.
Received RFE letter on a few days after I did the biometrics. I sent the requested packet back out and on March 30 they started working on my case again. They advised that I would hear something by May 29 unless an interview or biometrics is needed (of course biometrics was already done).

I do trust we will all hear some positive update about our cases soon.

That's great congratulations! I think I have a while to wait since they started working on my case again on 27 April. Good to hear the EAD can come through quite quickly

Here's my timeline: I filed in CHicago and my office is in Des Moines
I actually had to send things twice because my husband and I missed one signature
Anyways, I mailed my file on Feb 23rd.
              Feb 25th received online receipt notice for I-485, I -130 and .
Marh 3rd they accepted my fingerprinting fee
              March 23rd Biometrics appt.
Then the wait.... and this was kind of weird.. online they it said they were ready to schedule my interview on april 24th, and then when i checked again a couple of days later it said april 30th.
I received my interview letter on may first and our interview is scheduled for June 3rd...
HOwever, i have not received any updates on my I-765, therefore no EAD yet . We're a bit worried because it's a lot easier financially when we are both working. I am really happy we have an interview date, but really hope to hear something soon on my EAD. Kind of frustrating... can't drive, can't work...

Wow Emilia! Your interview was scheduled very quickly! I know the RFE I received slowed my process down. Not working can be pretty frustrating but at least you have an interview date. Soon it will be June, hang in there and best of luck

Filing or Adjusting with a minor child

                        Hi all,

Does anyone here have any experience regarding doing concurrent filing with any kids?
                        My situation is this:
All paper works were submitted for my son and I. I received notification that parole document was approved and and work permit card is being produced.
However, I received this notification on only one set of receipts numbers (bearing in mind that we received 2 sets of receipts, one for the child and the other for myself).

Does this notification usually mean that the approval is for both beneficiaries adult and child?

                        My next question is:
Does a 6 year old child have to attend the interview?

Any views or experiences will be appreciated. Thank you.

Interview and timeline in this entire process

                            Hi all,

This forum has been really helpful during this process for my husband and I. Now I wanted to share our timeline from start to finish and especially for those primary beneficiaries with dependent beneficiaries like minor children. I had questions or concerns that I needed clarification on regarding my 6 year old whom my husband also petitioned for. So here's our timeline:

USCIS received our package on February 20, 2015; this became our priority date.

March 3, we received notices for biometrics.
March 13, our case was suspended due to RFE
                            March 17, biometrics done.
MARCH 30, response to request received and case resumed.
May 28, ready to schedule interview.
                            July 2, interview

                            At the interview:

My 6 year old had to attend the interview with us; he was never interviewed or asked any questions.
The officer asked for our ID's
He then asked about my son and my husband confirmed that he's my biological child and his stepson.
The officer asked for my husbands original birth certificate.
He asked me about a 2 year home country requirement, to which I responded that requirement was waived for me. He wanted to see the original waiver and the approval letter from US Dept of State.
He then asked us for proof of our marriage (in a nice manner, I'm short hand typing). My husband gave him our lease, renters and auto insurance, bank statements, a VA beneficiary letter/update and lastly photos. He looked through all the photos and said "I'm satisfied"
He then stamped our forms approved and then said our cards will come in the mail and then proceeded to explain removing the conditions from this initial card because our marriage is younger than 2 years.
We thanked him and then left.

I hope this helps someone else as so many others have helped us before.

I wanted to thank RayB for the many times I sought your guidance, and MaryH for your prompt responses. Thank you both for your expert advice.
Also to all of you who freely shared your experiences, they were very helpful.

To everyone one else still going through the process, it will be well. Be very prepared and presentable and gather as much proof of your marriage as best as you can. All the best!
