Pending I-485 Child born in India

Can we apply I-485 for child born in India based on parent(Primary)'s pending I-485 when the dates are not current?
Child Status Protection Act is of any use here or only after getting GC?

Any information on this would help us to plan.

If the mom's Priority Date is not current, neither is eligible to be Adjusted.
