Asylum Interview with Officer but already filed I130

Hi,
I really need suggestion. My initial interview with asylum officer was pending when i filed I130 through my USC husband. So we filed the whole package. Now I have an interview date. Can i hold my asylum case interview with the officer till I see the decision from I130 application. If there is a way to hold please give me suggestion how do i do that.

Ohh am not alone then!! I had the same exact situation when is your asylum interview? Do you have a lawyer with your asylum case? My lawyer told me that he is gonna try to ask a hold on the case but basically we don't have a right to hold it , we have a right to terminate it but it's not the best strategy . The best strategy is to write the asylum office a letter that you need a hold on your asylum case until you hear a decision on AOS but u need a receipt of the AOS application as a proof . I will update you about my case as soon as I hear anything . Good luck to both of us
