  • I-485 adjustment of status

    Hi
My husband is on a TPS(temporary protected status) and living in the US. We got married several months ago and now I wanna apply an I-130 for him. I know I have to file several forms:
    1) I-130
    2) I-485
    3) I-864
    4) I-693
    5) G-325A
    6) I-765(optional)
    7) I-131(optional)
I just want to know if I file all these forms together or which one first? can someone provide me with a quick order of the forms to be sent?
    Thank you

    hi there,

the list is accurate but if your husband entered the country illegally (without a visa) he must file a I-601 waiver and go back to his country to receive his Visa
the wait is longer on that and you must prove hardship

there is a lot of people who are on TPS but they apply for I-131 advance parole to travel to their country and back just to get that legal entry before they file for AOS...... so they don't have to file a waiver I-601 for entering the country illegally and not having to go back to their country's US consulate. also the wait is so much longer filing a waiver!! someone in my family is in that process since they didn't have TPS he was just here illegally so he needed to file that waiver! over 2 years gone by.....
