If you apply for the work permit with the I-485 at what point do they issue the permit? After the interview and once you are approved for AOS?

The Work Authorization shows up about halfway through the waiting period before the average interview, about 3 months after submittal of the I-485 package. After the interview, or approval without interview, when you receive your Green Card, the Work Authorization will no longer be needed.
