  • Non-immigrant visa?

    Hi,

I got married a month ago and now I'm filing for Greencard. On form I-485, Part 3, A, you must enter your nonimmigrant visa number and date issued.
I initially came in as a student, got my visa extended since it took little more than 4 years to complete my degree, and now I am doing student post completion OPT. Only VISA stamp I have on my passport is the initial VISA.

SO my question is, Do I put my very first VISA number when I initially entered the country?

Also for the initial evidence, Do I submit photocopy of my initial VISA or do I send all the documentation of OPT and the card and Passport picture?

    Thanks!

Yes, your initial Visa's information, is what is required and definitely, a copy of it. USCIS, in my experience, usually like to c every thing on the table about the applicant. If it's something that needs explanation, feel free to do same. Sometimes, these actions prevent a RFE. Good luck!!!,
