  • EAD Cryptic Case Status

    Hi folks,

This is what my EAD case status changed to on Monday: On March 16, 2015, we mailed your document for Receipt Number MSC YYYY ZZZ, directly to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your document by April 15, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request the document be sent to you.

I then got an email with this: *** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

    Receipt Number: MSCxxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On March 16, 2015, we mailed your document for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, directly to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your document by April 15, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request the document be sent to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

My biometrics were completed last week. Any idea what this document is? I wonder is it the card? No updates since.

    Thanks!

If you did biometric, just last week, it sounds a little early to be receiving your work authorization card, but that's what your messages sounds like, unless you will be receiving something in its regards..... Regardless, you have no choice but to wait until you receive the mail.

Thanks Mary, it was the receipt notice I never received. USCIS messed up my address first time so I guessed when they figured it out they resent it to my proper address. I wonder will this hold up my EAD?

I don't think it will. It's their error, but it's not a serious error. I hope they fix the problem, that it doesn't happen again. Good luck!!!
