Cronmen,
You should be able to complete your immigration paperwork on your own, but you should also have someone with experience check your forms and evidence before you submit.
For starters, what is your basis for doing the I-485? Have you married a U.S. citizen?

AOS clearity
hi RayB,
I must say thank you for all your useful tips and advise on here, i appreciate.
I have a few questions as regards my situation.
I am from Kenya, came in on a B1 5months ago when i met my wife in the course of my training, after much deliberation as to who would move, i decided to stay so we got married about 2weeks ago.
Now im planning on filling for AOS but i want to be clear about somethings.
i have read in the forums about proof of bonafide marriage where it says we have to have;
joint filed tax return
joint bank account
joint insurance etc
my question is;
must we have all this stuff before i can file? we just got married and i do not work yet and she already filled her taxes before we moved in together.
We plan to have the joint acct as soon as i start working and all other stuff too jointly.
we have our both name on the apartment lease contract and letters to us at the same address and some photographs.
I am just confused.

Your initial submittal of I-130 and I-485 forms, with supporting documents, does not need the items you mentioned. But at your actual interview, you will be expected to have solid proof of cohabitation and commingling of financial affairs.

Ok, so i can just send in my forms and arrange those for the actual interview.?
and ray, my wife didn't work half of 2013 so her adjustable income on the 1040 was only about 15000 but she made abt 34000 in 2012 and about 34000 in 2014 i hope the 2013 income wont have a negative on the support affidavit.

Uchained,
2011 and 2012 income tax returns are not needed and have no impact on your Adjustment of Status. It is your wife's proof of current employment and income level that matter most, and she should also complete and submit an inome tax return for 2014.
