I wanted to know everyone's experience on a marriage based I-485 interview. What kinda questions do they ask? How long does it all take?
Will my 4 month old be allowed in with us? Also I'm not sure what an I-94 is? Any info to kinda get an idea of how it's going to go will be helpful.
My interview is on April 30th in St. Paul Minnesota.
    Thanks!

    Hi jmk1217,

You can check this link about questions that they will ask for the interview :

Do you mean form I-94? It's arrival/departure form, you should get it when you arrived to US, i think that form is to prove that you come to US legally.

I hope its help. Goodluck for your interview.

Your I-94, is your arrival card that's usually filled out and given upon arrival at your port of entry. It usually, has some of your basic information and stamped as you enter the country. Your arrival date and your given length of stay in the country is stamped on the card.

Every one's interview is different, but the basic questions r: how and where did u meet. did u have a big wedding, were your family able to attend? These r examples. Then of course, they will address the stuffs u submitted along with your applications. Good luck!!

You will need a copy of your I-94, if you have not submitted it with your original paperwork. You can obtain a copy here for free https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

You can bring your child with you to your interview however they are distracting, I would find someone if possible to watch the child(ren) during the 20 min long interview.

They don't really ask the questions that relate to googling, I mean I guess its if they feel the need to ask deeper questions to determine the truth about your marriage. We were asked to verify the yes or no questions you originally marked on the I-485, asked for names and addresses. If they separate you both during the interview and interview separately, then they have doubts about your relationship and will ask you both the same questions to see if they both are the same.

Other than that it was pretty simple, straight forward interview PM me if u have more questions regarding the interview.

Finally, I did my interesting interview today. My interview started exactly 11:08am today. The lO was very strict, not even friendly. She started by asking me the full name of my wife, I ask her correctly, ask me where we met, when I came to the US, have I travel out of the US since my arrival? She also ask me what I came to do in the US, if am working now, ask me the name of my wife's parents, ask me where were my wife born, ask if I have met the children of my wife, she ask me all the original document I submitted. The only question she ask my wife was, why did my wife marry me, my wife answer her correctly . the IO ask me the date of our wedding, requested the pic we took, she took her time to check all the pics, and thereafter took two. She saw the pic I was having fun with my wife , she told me the Immigration doesn't want to see that kind of pic lol and after examining all my document and all the respond to her question, she then said she doesn't have any reason to denial me, and said my AOS has been approved that I should expect the card on the mail with in 6-8 weeks, but didn't collect my working authorization . hope that's normal? The interview took almost 25 mins tho! But it was successful and wonderful. Am so excited that at last, the journey of this GC is coming to an end good luck to those expecting their interview and those who is sending their application . my interview was in NYC tho. One love every one.
