I filled out I-485 and I-765 separately. Do I have to do biomictrics again?

I filled out the I-485 first. Then I included receipt of I-485 with I-765 package. I just did biometrics for I-485 on May 1. Today I just got the Biometrics appointment for I-765. The appointment day is on May 13. Do I have to do Biometrics again for I-765. How can I let them know that I have the Biometrics result already?

How long ago did you do your last biometric?
Regardless, I would give it the benefit of the doubt, (call USCIS or make info pass), but stull go ahead and have it done. You never know what's their true reason, wether long ago or recently.

Hi MaryH, I just did Biometrics on May 1 (3 days ago). I though they don't consider about my I-485 is pending. I paid Biometrics fee only one

Hi. As far as I understand I am in the same situation.
I filed I-765 separately from I-485 and got a second biometric appointment 2 weeks ago.
I called uscis and they said they can not combine two info because I filed them separately and I have to go to the new biometric appointment if I want to obtain EAD.
(it is my fault to send them separately and forget to sign I-765 form and lost a lot of time!!!)
I hope this is not the reason why my interview is not scheduled yet.
When did they get your application?
they got my application for I-485 at March 17.
They got complete I-765 at April 7.
First bio-walk in at April 8.
Second bio scheduled to May 8 (for I-765).
Still waiting for interview notice for I-485. system is not updated and stuck to fingerprint fee was received.
How is your timeline?

You shouldn't filed Forms separately and that's the reason for the two biometrics. Now you have no choice but to go in for the other.

Hi pro, thank you for your answer. We have the same situation, my timeline is later yours a little bit.
My I-485 was received on April 1, and did Biometrics on May 1
My I-765 was received on April 17, and Bio scheduled on May 13
I don't think filled out separately cause the late interview schedule. That's the normal time, after doing Bio they have to send the record to FBI and FBI work on that then send back to the USCIS. It takes time to do that.
By the way, please tell me your progress after you do the second Bio? Thank you

Thank you MaryH, I had no idea about the I-765 until I filed the I-485 10 days later. So that's why I have to did them separately. I also would like to fill the I-131 for traveling but I don't have any reason do fill it. I just want to visit my family on Lunar New year. So I haven't filed it yet

I just read the instruction for I-131 one more time and they say If your I-485 is pending and you seek a Advance Parole Document you may include the personal or family urgent reason like medical treatment, funeral of family member or visiting ailing relative. If I write any reason I have to submit the evidence for it. I don't have any urgent reason, I just want to visit my family on the New year.

I went to biometrics appointment today and realized that it is just a formality when you go there for second time.
They just scan my index finger and pictures are taken again but as you can remember, all fingers had to be scanned at first time.
I will wait and let you know when my case is updated.

Hi Pro, my biometrics schedule for yesterday but I didn't go. Actually I wanted to go but my husband was busy so he called the USCIS to tel about that. They said it is ok, the first Bio will be use for I-765. I am a bit worry about that, Just waiting to see what happen

If they said it is okay then no need to worry (But I know we are tend to think always as "what if..." )
As I said It was just a formality, so no wonder why they said okay. try to not to think over about it
