STA, if you list them both as Principal immigrant on both affidavits, you will sponsor one and your dad sponsor the other. You can't have it like that. You both must sponsor both mother and daughter.

[QUOTE=STA;403476]Yes Mary my dad's income covers us all and the RFE is that my income did not meet the required poverty guideline,so I needed a joint sponsor.
And if I write it as mother as the principal immigrant and daughter family member which means part 3 number 7 will be total number of immigrants being sponsored on the form will be 2

They required for joint sponsor, and my joint sponsor after providing all the necessary tax paper etc ,should also provide envidence of status, but that is no problem now,we already order for his birth certificate online
Lol ..I really appreciate your help you are so so kind

The way I filed out my first I-864 was quite different I turned in 2 seperate I-864 for both of them at the same time,I guess that is why I recieve 2 RFE for both of them so I hope the way I file out this form using one for both of them won't be a problem?
What do you think?
But I do understand you well

STA, I'm sorry I was not able to continue answering your questions, yesterday, unfortunately, my phone broke.
However, with the question of the number of household members, u should have 5 in your I-864 and if your dad lives alone, he should have 3. (Himself and the two Immigrants. I hope u are able to resolve all in time and be able to return the requested documents. Good luck!!

I-864 Part 3 check yes and don't answer anything else?
NVC instructions for I-864 Affidavit of support part 3, are worse than useless. I am having my mom joint sponsor my wife's immigration. (See here how the word "joint" simply confuses the situation). In plain, clear English, she is the ONLY sponsor--not 'joint' anything. Question 2 asks who is she sponsoring at the same time. Answer: No one else--just my wife. But I can't give that answer, so I figure I must leave the check box blank along with every other question in Part 3.
IS THAT CORRECT?
Again, NVC instructions for I-864 Affidavit of support part 5, are worse than useless. We enter 1 for question 1 about # of people sponsored. Question 2 (under a extremely bizarre section about people NOT sponsored) then auto-populates with 1. This means there is 1 we are sponsoring and 1 we are not though in fact there are 7 billion people were are not sponsoring. We are then asked to add that up. That's like asking what does 1-1 = ? I answered 0.
