I-485 Processing Time

Hello All,

I am about a couple of months away from my Priority Date (PD) getting current. I have had everything done for the green card: I-140 approved, fingerprint, EAD, i-765, i-693. Once, my PD is current, does anyone know how long would it be before I get my GC? I have an EAD with Travel Documents (765) right now and I am planning to travel out of the country in November. Can someone please recommend if that is a good idea? I have not visited my family for 6 years and my niece is getting married, I do want to go but would my GC will have any impact by me travelling? I would be in the country while filing my 485. Please help!!! Thoughts???

We submitted paperwork at the end of Nov 2014 - we were approved first week of May 2015 for GC (so around 5 months), You have the documents to travel, however - We took the safe route, just in case, and decided not to travel abroad until we received a GC.
