Travel to another state while I-485 in proccess

Hi all,

My I-485 was in proccess now, can i travel to another state by plane?
I live in LA, and wanna go to New York for vacation with my husband.
I come to US with Visa B1/B2 and already lived in US for 3 years.
Some of my friend said because of my maximum stay in US already expired, they afraid it will be a problem for me when airport security officer check my visa and my maximum stay. Is it true?

If you have a legal ID, there shouldn't be anything that stops you from traveling; your Notice of pending status, protects you while your adjustment is being processed. Being careful is still very important, regardless....

Your greatest, problem, though, is leaving and USCIS, writes requesting something or what ever, and you aren't around to respond immediately.....
