Hey please wanted to know if anybody has had an experience like mine to please reply me. I went for an interview in georgia on the 20th of May 2015 and the interview went well and we were told we will hear from them. We did receive a letter addressed to my wife indicating approval of her I 130 but did not receive the letter concerning my I 485. It is about 2 weeks now but still no update on the i485. Please has anyone had such experience and does anyone has any advice for me thanks.

Your interview was supposed to be for your I-485 procedure, Adjustment of Status. Did you get any indication at the interview if everything was okay or not? After a successful I-485 Adjustment of Status interview, the Green Card usually shows up in 3-5 weeks.

The notice of approval for the I-120 is standard.

On the date of the interview it went very well the immigration officer was very nice and just asked a few questions and at the end requested a birth certificate for my sponsor be faxed to her and said a background check will be conducted. She gave us a paper to sign and later gave is another white paper where background check was ticked and. Additional info from sponsor was also ticke. We faxed over the birth certificate of the sponsor same day and that same date the uscis updated that the i130 has been approved and got a letter to that effect 4 days later but the I 485 has yet to be update and it's been over 2 weeks since the interview. I am a bit worried and don't know what to do NE t. Plz kindly respond thanks

And sir please can you please clarify your statement that the letter or the i130 is standard thanks mckee

It's pretty simple. You are waiting for the interview results, and that will be the I-485 outcome. Often after successful interview and/or submittal of additional evidence, a notice shows up saying that the Green Card is on the way. Then, a few days or week or two later, the card shows up.
