Hello I want my mother to come to the U.S with a B-2 visitor visa to see my daughters (3 years & 1 year old), but once she's here in the U.S apply for her adjustment of status and file form I-130 and I-485 at the same time. I mostly thought of doing this because I would like her to be here during the process of getting her Green Card rather than being in Peru. Is this a good idea??? How long would it take??? I would love if she can be here trough the whole process while enjoying her grand kids. I will pass my citizenship interview on the 22nd of June , is it possible for my mom to get a Visitor visa B-2 , with me becoming a citizen ?? Or are they going to deny it and ask to file form I-130 and make her go trough the "Consular Processing" ??? Any experiences or advice would help so much !!! Thanks in advance and good luck to all!

B-2 visas are issued to bona fide tourists: those who plan to visit the United States for a limited time, with the intention of returning abroad.Originally posted by littlemoon View Post
If she reveals to a consular officer that she intends to live here in anticipation of getting a green card, she will not get the visa.
If she lacks strong ties to her residence in Peru that would compel her to return abroad after her limited time visit, then she will not get a visa.
