My wife filled for me and my two daughters in February 2015. We got married Jan 2 2014. Received EAD june. Replied RFE in May on 1 485.and got a reply that stated that ...We will mail you a decision or update by july 15 except we require something or fingerprinting from you. Can somebody explain this to me?

It just means that your case is in process, and you will get some response or decision on your case by July 15. Unless, however, they need something again from you or request to do fingerprint.
Just normal procedures of cases. Nothing to worry about.

I went for my interview today and all went well. The I 130 was approved but IO said she would further review I 485 and gave a letter on the spot to that effect. The only thing new was that I added a middle name during the interview when she asked? Any issue here?
