Hi everyone, I had a question.
My wife that is a Natural born US citizen filed a i-130 in April 2014 for me, I received a receipt and that was about it. Then in September 2014 I received a notice off action that my case was transferred from the Nebraska processing center to the California Processing center. In January 2015 I had my lawyer do an inquiry on the petition and USCS sent me a copy of the inquiry that said that the case was pending and they cannot provide a time frame. I recently at the end off April 2015 had my local congressman do an inquiry on the status of the petition and he received a phone call back from USCS telling him that the case is pending and is at the California office.
it'll be 15 months at the end of July. I am wondering where and what are they going to do. why i haven't received an interview and why is it taking so long?
Should i file for a writ of Mandamus. or should I keep on waiting. FYI I entered the country on a B-2 visa. I had a work permit prior to filing this petition.
