  • Ead/ap notice

    Hi everybody,

My wife just received her EAD/AP approval notice today, but We did not receive AP notice for 10 year old daughter,do I call to ask about it or is that she is not entitled to a travel document and has to share with her mom? I am confused, just wanted to be sure before making the call.
We are all planing of making a journey to visit my wife's family so I believe her daughter also need the travel document to be able to return to into the U.S. .

What do I do?should I call to ask why we haven't reviewed her notice?

    Thanks

Yes, you should call, but I have no doubt her daughter's will be in the mail soon.

My advice is to be careful with traveling while I-485 is pending.
APs are expected to be used in cases of emergencies.

Ok thanks for your response Mary and yes just a brief journey we should be back before we get an update on our case.
I have one more question about the AP because I don't really know how it works. The AP can it be used even with an expired visa? Their U.S. visa expired April,so does the AP document helps them re-enter the U.S. .

      Thanks again

Yes, they should be able to travel, without the aide of their expired visa. However, with the whole family traveling, with pending adjustment of status, I repeat, is very risky. Unless your traveling is an emergency.
I guess I'm not as bold as some people are, cause I wouldn't take the chance.
This does not mean you cannot travel, that's what the AP is for, but be wise..

Thank you Mary I really appreciate your concern.

I have another problem and I need advise,my wife lost her I-94 and while we were sending out our package we just retrieved and printed out her I-94 online from cbp.dhs.gov,so my question is can we still use this printout for the interview or do we need to still apply for a replacement of lost I-94?i am scared if we have to apply for it,we might not get it before the interview because I noticed it's a 3 month processing before we can get a replacement.

          THANKS

They usually ask for the original I-94, at the interview. Almost always; but, If I were you, I would go ahead and still apply for it; just in case your explanation of it being lost etc, etc., isn't enough for the immigration officer.
That being said, you would have less time waiting for it, to send in.

Take the print out a long with you when you go.
